WORKING STEAM: COLLETT GRANGES & MANORS

The 'Granges' and 'Manors' dated back to the GWR days of the 1930s with a further batch of ten 'Manors' being built under BR in 1950. Nine 'Manors' have survived into preservation, but all 'Granges' were scrapped. Drawing on the work of many of the best-known railway photographers who were active in the 1950s and 1960s, this collection of top quality colour images show the many and varied duties undertaken by the locomotives plus classic portrait shots at works and sheds. 77 colour photos.
