WORKING STEAM: COLLETT & HAWKSWORTH HALLS

The GWR 'Halls' represented one of the most successful mixed-traffic 4-6-0 designs that operated in Britain. The first, a rebuild from 'Saint' class No. 2925, appeared in 1925, leading to the production of batches until into the BR period in 1950. This all-colour photo album shows examples at work in the BR period with some memorable scenes from leading cameramen of the period, many published for the first time.
