The SOUTHERN WAY Special Issue No. 2: Southern Colour in the Sixties

Southern Way Special Issue 2: Southern Colour in the Sixties:

The impending demise of steam on both main and branch lines led Terry Cole to travel around both on the main lines and branches in order to record the engines, trains and infrastructure in the years leading up to the end of the 'old railway' in 1967.
Up to 2007 little if anything of his remarkable colour archive had ever been seen.

This volume does not focus exclusively on mainline steam as it appeared in its grimy form towards the end of steam working. It also reflects the branch and mainline working in the earlier transitional period.

Reproduced on art paper this will be a volume to both treasure and trawl through for a long time to come.
