ROYAL AIR FORCE BOMBER COMMAND LOSSES of the Second World War Vol.9: Roll of Honour 1939-1947

The eight previous volumes in this series, many of which have been reprinted over the years, provide a comprehensive listing of all Bomber Command aircraft losses between 1939 and 1947 in the European theatre of operations, along with information about the fate of the aircrew on board each individual aircraft.

This final volume contains about 57,000 entries and is a Roll of Honour to Bomber Command. The Roll of Honour records the service number, rank, surname, Christian names, date of death and unit of the airman/airwoman commemorated. Notes are appended where appropriate.

This sobering record is a testimony to the sacrifice made by thousands of young men and women from all corners of the British Empire and from the occupied and neutral countries who achieved a hard-fought victory against a tyrranical regime.

This series has become an essential work of reference for both aviation historians and genealogists.
