This book celebrates the legendary Mille Miglia in the post-war years, from the resumption of the competition in 1947 to its demise in 1957. Contemporary articles from long-established and well-known British magazines such as Motor, Motor Sport and The Autocar vividly transport the reader back to those exciting days. The previously unpublished monochrome and colour photographs that enrich this book belong to the Novafoto archives, now owned by Giorgio Nada Editore, and were taken by the official Mille Miglia photographer Alberto Sorlini.
