The 13 mile long Devizes branch opened in 1857 and closed in 1966. This publication keeps the historical facts and figures to a minimum and concentrates on the lines infrastructure, the people and local businesses who used it, and the staff who worked on the route in its busy days. Profusely illustrated with a selection of photographs, maps, station building plans and ephemera. Published in 1996.
